The enhanced HAD CCD imager captures images with stunning detail and clarity while the Digital Zoom focuses on distant subjects providing clear close-up images with less distortion. The Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar® lens offers less glare and increased contrast for vivid, more life-like color and tones. The DCR-HC28 camcorder features a 2.5" Touch Panel SwivelScreen LCD displays that provides excellent viewing clarity with improved resolution. It comes along with Easy Handycam® button that locks out most of the advanced features of the camcorder leaving only the buttons essential for recording operation, allowing easy handling for amateurs.DCR-HC28 incorporates NightShot® Infrared System that you capture natural looking video, even when shooting in low light. In addition, the Super SteadyShot® Picture stabilization system uses motion sensors to detect and compensate for camera 'shake' without compromising picture quality. The camcorder also includes i.LINK® DV Interface for pure digital transfer between devices equipped with an IEEE-1394 interface, such as camcorders, digital VTRs, capture cards and PCs. For additional control of the camcorder, Zoom and Record buttons are provided on the frame of the LCD screen, allowing more flexibility when holding the camcorder. Super SteadyShot® Picture stabilization system uses motion sensors to detect and compensate for camera 'shake' without compromising picture quality. I spent a lot of time purchasing the Sony Handycam DCR digital Camcorder. I needed it for my friend’s 30th birthday party. It’s very simple in use as my 13 year old brother used it on that day though I had not instructed him. It’s a good value for the price, will recommend it to all friends and family members as well.
