400/800 GB Additional LTO-3 Tape Drive for PowerVault 136T Tape Library Details

The Dell Additional LTO-3 Tape Drive is a high-capacity data storage device that is designed to perform backups, store mission-critical data and archive files. With a combination of data compression and compaction, the tape drive provides a formatted cartridge capacity of 400 GB (800 GB assuming a 2:1 compression ratio). It delivers a maximum sustained transfer rate of up to 80 MBps (native) across an Ultra160 SCSI LVD interface. In addition, this drive is backward read/write compatible with LTO-2 and LTO-3 tapes and read compatible with LTO-1 tapes. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure it will work with your computer and is compatible with the Dell PowerVault 136T Tape Library. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
