The 1.66 GHz Core2 Duo Mobile Processor T5500 from Intel® offers efficient data sharing providing enhanced performance and power savings. It features two independent processor cores in one physical package that runs at the same frequency and sharing up to 2 MB of L2 cache. Additionally, it features 667 MHz front side bus speed for fast data transfer to help meet the requirements of demanding applications. The Execute Disable Bit allows memory to be marked as executable or non-executable, allowing the processor to raise an error to the operating system if malicious code attempts to run in non-executable memory, thereby preventing the code from infecting the system. Moreover, its featuring Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (Intel® EM64T) enhances performance by allowing the system to address larger amount of virtual and physical memory.
